Research

The Roughage Factor Research consistently shows improved average daily gains (ADG) when low amounts of roughage are fed to growing/finishing dairy beef. Feeding 2 lb/head/day of hay resulted in an ADG increase of 0.2 to 0.3 over a no roughage program. This increased gain can reduce the number of days to market by 30 days or more.

Birth to Weaning
ADM Alliance Nutrition's milk replacers offer superior mixing technology for consistent nutrition and performance. Five product lines enable producers to choose the milk replacer best suited to their operation and management style. High-quality, complete starters with varying protein levels give calves a performance boost. GroFast Starter Concentrate (34639) is available for use with homegrown grain.

Weaning to 350 lb
The GroFast Program is a simple, effective program, which utilizes Step 1 and Step 2 products, grain, and forage to boost early calf performance.
 

Arrival Stage
For newly arrived calves, ADM Alliance Nutrition's Arrival Programs, including Stressfighter® and Ignitor® products, keep calves on the fast track, giving them an edge on fast, efficient gains in the feedlot.

Growing/Finishing
The GroFast Program for calves from 400 lb to market centers on providing an energy rich diet with limited roughage fortified with high-quality protein sources, non-protein nitrogen (NPN) for ration economy (non-NPN forms are also available), and minerals and vitamins to support rumen and animal requirements  -  designed specifically for dairy beef to achieve fast, economical, efficient gains.
